"My stallion, AM GHOST SHIP, is a 9 year old Arabian stallion who had not been shown or off the ranch for over 3 years. He is a national winner in Cutting, does dressage, and is a certified First Premium Sporthorse Stallion---but because we have spent all of our resourses on building this ranch since moving here 3 years ago, he has not been shown since his win at the U.S. Nationals in 1997. Exhibiting at the Western Idaho Horse Fair was a way to allow folks to see our working western / sporthorse program up close. We were concerned, however that the containment of over 25 stallions in the same room might be more than this ranch-bound horse could handle -- and stay calm!

On our way to the Western Idaho Horse Fair, we had to stop and pick up our Arabian cutting horse mare, who happened to be in heat. We put the Accilmate in both horses' nostrils as recommended and hauled them side by side (with a solid partition separating their heads) with no 'courting' between them during the loading or trip to the Horse Fair. This first part of the trip was a real concern for me, a we had 2 of the stallion's babies behind him and a mare in heat beside him for 2 1/2 hours. The trip turned out to be uneventful, thank goodness! I have no doubt that the Acclimate did its job!

This Horse Fair was the next test because there would be 25 stallions under one roof with breeding season alreadly in full swing for some of these horses...and testosterone simply oozing out the doors! Not everyone going to the Western Idaho Horse Fair is familiar with horses...yet alone breeding stallions with spring approaching. I wanted AM GHOST SHIP to be at his best even with all of the movement of other horses in and out of display stalls in the exhibit hall. I applied the Acclimate as suggested and I really feel that it was a definite factor in his good behavior in that environment. While he certainly could still see what was going on, and hear the other horses callling back and forth, I feel removing his ability to smell the strange horses went a great way towards making this whole 4 day trip the success that it was. AM GHOST SHIP was relatively quiet and even laid down in his stall in the exhibition hall, which is something I would have bet the whole ranch would have never happened.

Oh, yes.....folks who got nuzzled by our stallion commented on his 'sweet smelling breath'....including an equine dentist. I got a kick out of that for sure!

I would heartily recommend this product for anyone to try on their horses. I sincerely feel that it contributed greatly to a highly successful weekend.
