Question
I am in need on a canine semen extender. This is only to aid in artificial insemination, I plan on using fresh (not chilled or frozen). I was unable to find a canine one on your site. Is there a difference from the Equine Extenders or can they be used for Canine? Or is there a link to a canine extender?
Thanks,
Barry

Answer:
Dear Barr,
The milk based extenders used in canine and equine are the same formulas, although, extension protocols are very much different as the equine work best at 30 million sperm per milliliter whereas canine can endure 50 million sperm per milliliter. My next generation extenders are excellent choices for canine, if you want to save money, buy the 150 mL equine and freeze off 10 -15 mL aliquots for use in the future! Talk soon
Sincerely,
